Royalty Free License - Concept summery

You make a one-time purchase and are free to use the content (image, photo, illustration, etc.) perpetually for personal and/or commercial purposes with minimal restrictions and without having to pay any other royalties.

Royalty Free License (RF)

When you download royalty-free materials (images, illustrations, photos, etc), we grant you a life-time, non-transferable, non-exclusive worldwide license to use the contents under the permitted uses, as defined below. All other rights pertaining to the content are retained by CaviArts or the suppliers of the content.

Free Images

Small non-watermarked images downloaded for free provide (almost) the same usage priviledges as our regular royalty free images, but you must attribute (acknowledge) caviarts.com and the image Creator(s) on the same page/screen where the image is used - learn more about giving proper attribution when using free images.

Extended License (EL)

The (EL) extended license offers additional usage rights to our standard royalty-free license, such as increased print use, copies, users, certain resale liberties and other awarded use extensions (e.g. if you choose to use one of our images in a product where the image itself is the primary product or if the image is imperative to the item it has been incorporated into, you will need an extended license. Additional Information on the Extended License (EL)

The (EL) extended license offers additional (extended) usage rights to our standard royalty-free license as set forth below. In order to use an image under this license, you must download using the correct download button.

Increased Print Use / Resale: You gain the right to use images in postcards, t-shirts, mugs, stickers, magnets and other physical items to be sold to customers.

Increased Users: Organizations or companies holding an account with caviarts.com recieve extended user rights allowing all staff members within the organization user rights. Each memeber does not recieve separate user rights, all members within the organization become the User, where the User is a viewed as a single entity for all intents and purposes.

Increased print copies: Instead of being restricted to 500,000 printed copies, your maximum amount of printed copies increases to 1,000,000. Note that each member of your organization or staff can not make 1,000,000 copies each; the 1,000,000 copies extension is the total limit of copies for the entity (You and Your organization) as a whole.

Increased Web Usage: You gain the right to use images in web templates for mass distribution, whether free or paid for (eg screensavers, e-cards, powerpoint presentations, wallpapers on cell phones, templates distributed via ThemeForest or Template Monster). Maximum number of electronical items is 10,000 copies, which applies as a total of each type of usage (e.g. if you sell 7,000 e-cards, you can sell 3,000 more items [whether screensavers, wallpapers on cell phones or more e-cards] before needing to acquire the (EL) license once again.

Increased Educational Usage: Flash cards, language courses and online learning systems etc – where the images are integral to the functioning of the system, eg a picture is shown and has to be identified.

Editorial License

Editorial images are supplied with our Standard royalty free licence, but they may only be used for non-commercial and non-promotional purposes. In most cases no legal releases have been signed by the people within these images or on behalf of any property or designs featured. This means that the images may not be used for any purpose which will result in You making money. No Extended licence is available for editorial images. All Our terms and conditions still apply to editorial images.

You are responsible for any changes You make to an editorial image and any claim made against You as a result. We strongly advise that You do not adjust an editorial image in any way which could change the perceived message or context of the image.

Please note that images which are available for commercial use (not marked as an ‘editorial image’) may still be used for editorial purposes.
